Wet floor shower room in the Grange, Edinburgh
Our remit on this occasion was to create the very best use of space, delivering a room to suit our client’s specific needs without making it look like a disabled bathroom. We are very proud of this finished project.
This very long, but narrow bathroom was making bathing an increasingly stressful experience for our client who is partially disabled. In the room there was a very narrow bath with the WC in close proximity. It was certainly not user friendly. We decided to use the length of the room to its best advantage. By locating the new wall hung WC and vanity basin unit to their new positions, we were able to create more actual space between the sanitary ware and the feeling of more space.
The most important change was the creation of a level access wet floor using the full width of the room to give a generous showering area complete with a folding down shower seat and easy access controls.
